Since more than 50 years the Emscher Aufbereitung GmbH is active on the market for the production of PCI-coal (Pulverized Coal Injection). Mainy for the production of iron ore PCI-coal has reached high importance especially for coke, crude oil and gas due to the world wide development of the raw material prices.
With the operation of six grinding mills at the production location in Duisburg the Emscher Aufbereitung has distinctive experience in the various procedures , especially in conjunction with the varying sorts of coal and oil coke in the world, which are used for the grinding and drying process.
Since 1987 the company provides as exclusive contractor all blast-furnaces of ThyssenKrupp Steel AG in Germany with PCI-coal. The existing capacity of the facility of 2.1 Mio. tons p.a. guarantees the security of energy supply for the client for the very sensitive production of raw iron. The production is carried out on 365 days a year in continuous operation. The production per day of up to 6,500 tons cannot be stored completely so that the complete supply chain is integrated into a sophisticated just-in-time solution.
